Sources Say Alabama Not Likely to Face Hokies in ‘09 Opener
According to Tony Barnhardt of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a source inside the Alabama football office says that the odds are against the Tide being the SEC team to face Virginia Tech in the 2009 opener at the Georgia Dome.
Wrote Bardnhardt, “Alabama will also have a rookie quarterback in 2009 as John Parker Wilson moves on. The Crimson Tide might not want to throw a new QB against Bud Foster’s Hokie defense.”
