Rivals.com’s No. 4 Athlete Commits to the Hokies
The Hokies got some great news today when George Washington running back David Wilson committed to the Hokies’ 2009 recruiting class. Wilson is a nationally ranked track athlete and a star RB for George Washington High School in Danville, Va. He is now the highest profile recruit in Virginia Tech’s ‘09 class.
Wilson is 5′ 11″, 190-pounds and rushed for 1,551 yards and 17 touchdowns in his junior season (2007). Rivals.com ranks Wilson as the No. 3 player in Virginia; the No. 4 “athlete” in the country; and the No. 63 overall prospect in the 2009 class.
Wilson has received scholarship offers from Michigan, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, N.C. State, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Auburn.
