ACC Becomes the First Conference to Release Injury Reports
The Sporting News
The ACC will issues two injury reports each week that will disclose levels of injury - from “out” to “probable” - but will not address specific injuries. The injury classifications mirror the NFL’s injury report: out, doubtful, questionable, probable. However, these reports are optional and according to the ACC, have nothing to do with gambling. They are merely designed to save coaches from having to answer repeated questions about players’ injuries.
“I don’t have any problem with it,” says Virginia coach Al Groh. “That means I don’t have to answer those stupid questions during the week.”
