While this would have been a great snag for the program, it’s no big loss. Newsome is probably not going to end up playing qb his entire career anyway. His passing is questionable at best on this level. VT probably never really had a chance anyway because Newsome wants to play next year, and that ain’t gonna happen unless Tyrod develops a penchant for dog-fighting or something.
