TechSideline.com interviewed ESPN’s Chris Fowler about Virginia Tech football and it’s growth over the years. Fowler points out that ESPN’s College Game Day show and Tech’s football program grew up together in a sense and pointed to the 1999 season as the watershed year for both programs – College Game Day really took off after Hokie fans raised the bar for fan turnout, and Virginia Tech went 11-0 during the regular season en route to a spot in the National Championship game.
It’s a pretty good read with Fowler doling out plenty of kind words for the program – check it out.
