The defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants selected Virginia Tech’s David Wilson in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft!
The Giants, by virtue of winning the Super Bowl, had the last pick and Wilson didn’t think they’d select him. But the Giants had Wilson rated as the No. 2 RB on their draft board, second only to Alabama’s Trent Richardson who was the No. 3 overall pick. So, with Jacobs gone, the Giants needed a running back and Wilson got the call.
