In less than three months, Wilson and his irresistibly likable personality have endeared him instantly to the fickle New York Giant faithful.
On May 30, the rookie threw out the first pitch at the New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies. Turns out, Wilson is a southpaw with power, though he lacks accuracy or control. His pitch sailed wide right of the catcher and garnered a few good-natured boos from the fans.
Less than three weeks after being drafted, Wilson reported to rookie minicamp and it didn’t take long for the coaching staff to heap praise on the ACC Player of the Year.
