The Virginia Tech Hokies (7-0) face their toughest road game of the young college basketball season when they travel to Morgantown to face the West Virginia University Mountaineers (3-3).

Senior guard Erick Green, aka the Winchester Rifle, is averaging 24.9 point a game, which leads the ACC and is third in the country. The Hokies as a team are also ranked third in the country in points per game with 86.1 per contest.

Virginia Tech’s Dorenzo Hudson buries a three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Hokies a 74-73 win over Georgia Tech. Yes, GT is the last-placed team in the ACC, but who cares? It was a dramatic victory on our home court. And in a season with little to cheer about, this was just what the doctor ordered! GO HOKIES!

Virginia Tech did everything they needed to do to win on the road against No. 21 Florida State. Everything but hit free throws. Instead, the Hokies (14-12, 3-8) blew a 15-point second half lead and missed seven critical free throws allowing the Seminoles (18-7, 9-2) to hit a game-winning three-pointer in the closing seconds.
