The Year of Erick Green continues for the Virginia Tech senior guard. TechHoops.com takes a look at just how good of year he’d having, despite the team being down as a whole. And where does Green rank all-time amongst the Hokie greats?

This photo by Daniel Lin of the Associated Press pretty much sums up the Hokies’ basketball season. Even Bill Roth, the “Voice of the Hokies” said that Green being carried off the court by his teammates was the most help he’s gotten from them in about a month.

Eric Green, the nation’s leading scorer, dropped 30 points in the game. This is particular impressive since Miami is has such a strong defense this year. Eric has continued to put up huge numbers despite the fact that teams are putting at least two guys on him. The Hokies did a great job of shutting down Durand Scott who scored 25 points against Duke last week. Scott only scored 5 points and was a complete non factor.
