If you’ve ever been to a Virginia Tech Hokies men’s basketball game at the Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, VA, then you’ve probably recognize this song. As I get older, I am losing track of today’s hit music. If not for covering college athletics and being around young athletes, I’d probably lose complete touch with today’s popular music. Case in point … what’s a Bieber? I’m with ya Ozzie.

Every now and then, I hear a “new” song that I actually enjoy, regardless of its genre. I’m not a big rap fan, but I do enjoy the occasional mainstream hip-hop hit like Khaled’s (featuring T-Pain from the Toshiba commercials - “Holla atchyer boy!”) “All I Do is Win” and now Maino’s (also featuring T-Pain… I’m sensing a theme here) “All the Above.” I had never heard of DJ Khaled or Maino until I heard their songs playing before Tech football and basketball games.

If that’s not a sign I’m getting older, I don’t know what is. Next up, elastic waistbands and blacks socks with sandals.
